Franciscan Fine Arts Festival
September 5 & 6, 2026
This is an outdoor show on the beautiful grounds of the Holy Cross Retreat Center. It features over 90 artists who display a variety of fine arts, including paintings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, wood works, jewelry, and more. The show also features a varity of food vendors, live music and more.

Hatch Chile Festival
September 5 & 6, 2026
Held annually on Labor Day weekend in Hatch, NM. The Hatch Chile Festival draws visitors from all over the country. There are vendors selling all sorts of foods, interesting arts and crafts, a carnival, horseshoe tournaments, and of course lots of chile. Hatch is famous for the chile it produces and with the Mesilla Valley being the chile capitol of the world, what better place to have a festival.

New Mexico Harvest Wine Festival
September 5 - 7, 2026
The Southern NM Wine Festival. Come sample over 200 wines from New Mexico's finest wineries. Enjoy your favorites by the glass and take it home by the bottle or case. Shop fine art, jewelry, local foods and crafts. Enjoy live music and have some fun. 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM daily. Online tickets here.

Diez y Seis de Septiembre Fiesta
September 12 & 13, 2026
The celebration kicks off with a parade Saturday at 10:00 AM along Avenida de Mesilla. While vendor booths line the plaza offering a variety of arts, crafts and games. There will be mariachi music and folklorico and flamenco dancers, amusement rides, piñatas and the traditional greased pole climb, with a chance to win cash rewards. It is a great day of fun for the whole family.

La Viña Wine Festival
September 19 & 20, 2026
Located in La Union, NM. Come on out to taste wines, listen to live bands, eat great food and shop from local arts & craft vendors. Over 20 wines will be available for tasting and purchase. Adult Admission to the Festival is $30 and includes a souvenir glass and a choice of 5 tastes or a full glass. There is a $10 admission charge for guests 12-20 years of age, and guests 11 and under are admitted free of charge. 60+ Food and Art Crafts Vendors and 3 Bands Each Day Performing Live. Mesilla Valley Maze
October 3 - 25, 2026
Continuing a family tradition that started in 1999, the Mesilla Valley Maze and Family Fun Farm has all kinds of amazing activities for the whole family, student groups and community organizations. The public is welcome on weekends from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Special events include the Fall Festival on October 3-4 and the Pumpkin Festival on October 24-25, both featuring entertainment and seasonal activities. $19 for adults, $16 for children ages 12 and younger, Free for children under 2, Active-duty military members and veterans receive a $2 discount with valid identification.

October 1 - 4, 2026
Free live music on the Historic Mesilla Plaza and at the Mercado Plaza. Free to attend. Stadium seating is available (but limited) so please bring a lawn chair or blanket for a wonderful time. This is a free community event. More info coming soon.

Renaissance Arts Faire
November, 2026 - So far, there will be no Renaissance Arts Faire this year unless another group sponsors it, as the Dona Ana Arts Council will not be hosting it this year. We'll wait and see what happens and post any new info here.
One of the largest cultural events in Southern New Mexico, this juried art show showcases local and regional artists, crafts-people and entertainers. Lots of food and fun for the whole family! Jousting on Horseback, as well as the Dragon’s Eye Tavern, the Beer and Wine Garden, and much more.

Christmas Carols and Luminarias on the Plaza

The Town of Mesilla will host the annual Luminarias and Christmas Carols on the Plaza. Luminarias are placed in the plaza and around town beginning at dusk. Absolutely beautiful! 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. More info coming soon.
